My Favorite Travel Purse | Travelon
Before leaving for Italy, a friend suggested borrowing her Travelon anti-theft purse. After one look at her purse, I was sold! The style was fine and I liked the taupe color, but I fell in love with the locking zippers. Fast forward, my gray Travelon Hobo purse has made it all over the world. It was getting quite ratty so I recently replaced it with a new one in black.
Peace of mind with anti-theft purse
Travelon has an attractive collection of tamper-proof purses with easy locking zippers. These purses are cute, but low profile as not to draw attention. I feel more comfortable knowing it will be hard for a thief to get in my bag.
Be smart when you travel. Nothing is 100% theft-proof. Do not keep all of your money in one place. I like to use this purse and a money belt when I can’t keep the passports and cash in our hotel safe.
Easy to purchase in-store or online
Amazon carries a bunch of styles and colors and often has sale items. Target also carries select styles. And, keep you eyes open at TJMaxx and Marshalls where I have seen a couple smaller Travelon purses from time to time.
What style?
SO MANY OPTONS! I suggest a looking for a crossbody bag with a comfortable and adjustable strap. This makes it easy to swing in front and put a hand on it in a crowd. Some of the bags are more stylish than others. I think ones with water bottle compartments scream travel purse so maybe skip those.
I think the Travelon Anti-Theft Hobo Bag is a great crossbody or over the shoulder purse — not too big and not too small. The main compartment has a locking zipper for valuables. I use the outside pockets for quick reach items such as chapstick, pens, maps, etc.

Buy one for yourself and another for a great Christmas, Mother’s Day, or Birthday gift.
Reasonably priced
There are many different styles and sizes of Travelon Anti-Theft purses. The styles at Target are between $40 and $75. Amazon has even more options with many priced around $35 – $50. At this price it won’t hurt to replace it down the road. My first purse got a bit of wear and tear after about four years of use.
