Glamping in Quindino, Colombia

For a unique and peaceful stay in Colombia’s Coffee Region, glamping is a fantastic option. We stayed at Ecohotel Monte Tierra, in Filandia, a beautiful property that perfectly blends comfort with nature. My husband and I opted for a glamping tent, while our young adult sons stayed in a hotel room—both were beautifully designed with stunning views. Best of all, for this high level of quality, we found it to be more affordable than in the USA.

It was no surprise to us that Filandia’s cool mountain air made for chilly glamping in January. Fortunately, Monte Tierra provided a space heater — you may just have to ask. Our stay included a delicious and hearty breakfast, and we also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the hotel. One of the unexpected highlights? Visiting the friendly farm animals on the property — you can get animal feed at the front desk. You’re never too old to enjoy feeding the animals!

Beyond the accommodations, Filandia itself is a gem—less crowded than Salento but just as charming, with colorful streets, fantastic local food, and a fun climb to the top of Mirador Colina Iluminada. Whether you’re exploring coffee farms, hiking nearby trails, or simply relaxing in nature, glamping in Filandia offers the perfect mix of adventure and tranquility.
