Do You Post While on Vacation?
Who Can Resist?
A friend was recently in London and texted me photos because she didn’t want to put them on facebook until they got home. Well, within 48-hours she had a facebook post sharing some really cute photos of the first couple days of their European blitz.
Why Not Post In The Moment?
I guess the obvious is that your house could be broken into because hackers or a friend-of-a-friend knows you are out of town. Well, that would actually make for a really good movie. Ron Howard — I will be calling you! Or, maybe your friend’s teenage kid sees that you are out of town and throws a huge bash at your house? My imaginition is assuming a lot from a teenager — but where there is a will there is a way!
Now I am sounding kind of paranoid, right?
Let's Take Another Look At It...
We do a lot on vacation whether it is adventure or sightseeing. And if you aren’t usually posting on Facebook every day (not me!) then why would you do it on vacation? It is tempting — I get it! But the flip side of waiting until you get home is that you can choose your best photos to truly recap the experience.
But, who has time to post photos when you get home from vacation?!? You are unpacking, doing laundry, and getting back into the chaos of life. Take a deep breath. Sit down. And now that you are home post some of your best photos from the trip. It is also a good personal reminder of that amazing vacation you just took!
So, I totally agreed when my friend said she was going to wait until she got home to post on facebook. I did get a chuckle 48-hours later when I saw her facebook post. And…several more posts and photos over the duration of their vacation. I get it. No judgment!

I think you get sucked into it when everyone else is posting their vacation photos! Don’t have the right answer for it!
